Daniel “Danny” Leon Vandeventer

Daniel “Danny” Leon Vandeventer passed away Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Greene County General Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born November 11, 1955 at Linton Hospital the son of Robert Leon and Wilma Faye (Drake) Vandeventer.

Danny married his high school sweetheart Carolyn Fuller on April 9, 1977; he graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1974. Danny was a contract milk hauler for 25 years and then worked for the Greene County Highway Department for 25 years where he retired, he enjoyed the outdoors where he farmed, hunted racoons and deer. Danny was a member of the Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #84, the Treeing Walker Breeders & Fanciers Association and the American Black & Tan Association.

Surviving relatives include his wife Carolyn Vandeventer, son David (Marcy) Vandeventer, a grandson, Jake Sims, parents, Robert Leon Vandeventer and Wilma Faye Vandeventer, sister Teresa (Bob) Wheelock, nephew, Logan Wheelock, brother-in-law, Bill (Connie) Fuller, nieces, Jennifer Andrews and Bethany Martin.

Danny was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Fern Vandeventer, Wellman and Lola Drake and one nephew Chris Fuller.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, a Masonic service will be held at 2:00 P.M. and a private family burial will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The family would like any memorial donations be made to ALS Association in Danny’s name.
