Cynthia K. Frederick

Cynthia K. Frederick, age 75, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute. She was born in Linton on December 14, 1946, the daughter of Stanley Lee Burris, Sr. and Hazel M. (Terrell) Burris.

Cynthia was a 1964 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School. She was a homemaker, worked at Walmart, Goodies, Blessed Hope Baptist Church, and was a secretary for many years at Linton First Baptist Church.

She was a member of Linton First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and AWANA.

She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, studying the Bible, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Paul Frederick of Linton; two daughers, Jeanine (Tim) Hoskins of Canton, GA and Ann Baker of Vincennes; granddaughters, Cara (Shadow) Kendall, Chelsea (Zach) Yell, Emiline (Daniel) Singer, and Sarah Frederick; one brother, Stanley L. Burris, Jr.; two sisters, Marion Ann Alley and Wanieta (Mark) Ryall; a sister-in-law, Fran Burris; and an aunt, Mary Lou Gouckenour.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 56 years, Perry E. Frederick on June 7, 2022; a brother, Robert Burris; and three sisters, Eva Walker, Melinda Grimes, and Katherine Lohr.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. David Tyra officiating. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
