On Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 6:30 am, Connie L. Carr, age 72, and a member of Linton First Christian Church passed from this world of time and timely things to her heavenly reward. After five years battling a relentless illness Connie lost the fight. She died peacefully at home with her husband and beloved dog Sophie at her side.

She as born on November 26, 1948 at the Linton Freeman Greene County Hospital and resided in Greene County all her life.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis M. Carr, Jr. whom she married on March 12, 1971. They had three sons, Curtis (Karen) Carr III of Hamilton, OH, Terry (Jennifer) Carr of Robinson, IL and David (Stephanie) Carr of Greenwood, IN and they all survive. She was a grandmother of six; Jordan, Avery, Ethan, Kiersten, Heidi and Sawyer. Also surviving is her brother, Willard L. (Betty) Sherman of Jasonville, IN.

She is precede in death by her parents, Willard M and Onah Sherman; brothers, Harley Sherman and Wilbur Sherman.

Before retirement, Connie worked at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Old National Bank in Vincennes, Generations Group of Vincennes, Key Associates of Linton and Linton First Christian Church.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, with Warren Shake officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah in Bucktown, IN.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 - 7 P.M., and from 10 A.M. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Cemetery through the funeral home.
