Clyde James Tibbett, 84, of Bloomfield, passed away, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. Born August 4, 1937 in Lyons, he was the son of Clayton and Dorothy Barbara (Yancey) Tibbett.

Clyde delivered propane gas in the area and was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include: two sons, James (Kim) Tibbett of Linton and Doug (Nancy) Tibbett of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Jacob Tibbett, Ashley (Ian) Mair, Jim (Satona) Carl, Jeff (Lindsey) Carl; and his great grandchildren, Keito Carl, Kai Carl, Franklin Carl and Christopher Mair.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kay (Burgess) Tibbett on January 23, 2016, one brother, Gaylon Tibbett and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
