Christian “Chris” Sharp, age 64, of Linton, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Glenburn Home in Linton. He was born in Linton on June 25, 1958, the son of Jerry Franklin Sharp, Sr. & Vera Kathleen (Clifford) Wall.

He was a 1976 graduate of L&M High School in Lyons. He worked for the Indiana Highway Department for several years and then worked as a laborer in construction for several more years. He loved watching and playing sports, mushroom hunting, being active by running and lifting, listening to rock music and loved animals. His favorite thing of all was spending time with his beloved family.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Peggy Sharp of Linton; daughters, Chandra (Corey) Breneman of Linton and Kyla Sharp of Brazil; grandchildren, Devin Breneman, Maddison Sharp, Bracey Breneman, Bradley Sharp, Aiden Green and Faith Green; brothers, JD (Mindy) Sharp, Jerry Franklin (Audrey) Sharp, Jr.; sisters, Jennifer Lantrip, Deb (Jeff) Stahl and Dawn (Mark) Like; special niece, Kathy (Michael) Hill; step-father, Tom Wall; beloved cat, Boss as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Eugene Sharp and Jerry Bryan Sharp as well as a nephew, Cory Sharp.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 with Pastor Jeff Fulk officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vincennes University Baseball Team through the funeral home.
