Charles R. Greves, 93, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday July 19, 2020 at his residence. Born September 29, 1926 in Atwood, Illinois the son of Roy and Sarah Elizabeth (Willey) Greves.

Charlie was retired from the State of Indiana as an inspector receiving the Governors Commendation, he worked at Jenkins Funeral Home and Allen Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director, he was very active in the Republican party. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army serving as a Sargent of the 49th Infantry. Charlie served as the Greene County Sheriff and Greene County Coroner, he owned the Bloomfield Brick Plant, Greves Flowers Shop, Greves Insurance Agency both in Bloomfield, sold Real Estate and owned A-1 Furniture in Cape Coral, Florida.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 73 years Phyllis (Kaho) Greves, two sons, Michael “Mick” Greves and Kenneth “Kenny” (Bobbi) Greves, four grandchildren, Cheri Greves, Julie Beard, Tim Greves, Michael “Tad” Greves, five great-grandchildren and one sister Mary Martha McKee.

Charlie was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Mary Greves, one sister Louise Sparks and his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield with Joshua Riggins officiating, anyone wishing to follow to the cemetery, precession will leave at 10:45 A.M. from Jenkins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
