Charles E. "Chuck" Crowe

Charles E. “Chuck” Crowe, 88, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN. He was born March 19, 1933 in Jasonville, IN to Ebron Crowe and Ruby (Sinders) Crowe.

Chuck married Sandra Kay (Reynolds) Crowe on November 19, 1960,she passed away on September 22, 2005.

Survivors include his children, Scott Crowe (Peggy) of Jasonville, INand Doug Crowe of Saline, MI; grandchildren, Jordan Crowe (Megan), Brodie Crowe (fiance’ Carlie Booe), Natalie Crowe, and Hannah Crowe; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Kay Crowe and KylerScott Crowe; niece, Cindy Shrum (Bud), two nephews, Tommy Crowe (Julie) and Greg Crowe (Kathy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Tom Croweand John Crowe.

Chuck graduated for Jasonville High School Class of 1952, thengraduated from Upper Iowa University Class of 1956, on a full-ride football scholarship. He was a US Army Veteran. Chuck was Senior Management for Amex Coal Company for 35 years. He helped found Crowe Equipment and was actively involved in farming. He loved nothing better than being amongst the trees with his chainsaw clearing the way for open ground. Chuck loved his family and spending time with them; he enjoyed basketball and football and was a huge fan when watching his grandkids play basketball, volleyball and participate in gymnastics and he supported them in all their activities. He loved his family unconditionally. Chuck was a member of the Sullivan County Shrine Club #193 and a Life Member of Linton Elks Lodge # 866. He was a member of Lawton Street Christian Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, November 11, 2021 and after 9 A.M.Friday at the Funeral Home. Services are 11 A.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana with Military Graveside Rites.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Chuck to Lawton Street Christian Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
