Carolyn Sue (Light) Reed, age 63, of Worthington, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 14, 2019, at her residence. She was born in Linton on July 28, 1955, the daughter of Loren Oral and Ola Marion (Faulk) Light. 

She was a 1973 graduate of Spencer High School, and was a 1977 graduate of Indiana State University, majoring in education.  Carolyn taught math at Owen Valley High School.  She later worked as a bookkeeper and secretary, and mainly an Abstractor for Attorney John Fuhs', office for 24 years, where she enjoyed working with the public. She enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her church family at Freedom Church of the Nazarene, and mostly spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry M. Reed of Sullivan, Mona J. (Jeff) Hamilton of Coal City, and Mary B. (Matthew) Beckwith of Spencer, her grandchildren, Kaedence Beckwith, Keaton Hamilton, Mariska Hamilton, Akaydia Beckwith, and Kallai Hamilton, and her siblings, Joyce Graham of Worthington and Frank (Chris) Light of Worthington. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Jack Graham.

Funeral service will be held at the Freedom Nazarene Church at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 18, 2019, Rev. Chris Breeden officiating.  Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer on Thursday from 4-8 P.M., and Friday at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Freedom Nazarene Church through the funeral home.
