Carol Sue Jackson, 84, of Springville passed away Tuesday August 17, 2021 at her residence. Born September 20, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana the daughter of Luther Bud McMurry and Fannie (Fowler) McMurry.

Carol worked at Indiana University in the custodial services and in the kitchen, she and her late husband also owned and operated Jackson’s Trading Post, she was a member of the Ruffcut Church in Mitchell, and loved to crochet.

Surviving relatives include her three grandsons, Blaine Jackson of Owensburg, Luther Jackson of Indianapolis and Dylan Jackson of Vincennes, she has one nephew, Charlie Bennett of Scotland and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald William Jackson, two sons, Donald D. Jackson, Douglas E. Jackson, one grandson, Mikel Jackson, one sister Virginia Bennett Watkins and her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Friday and Noon Saturday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home with Debbie Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Carol’s name be given to Kentucky Ridge Cemetery or any Cancer Research.
