Carol E. Hubbell
Carol E. Hubbell, age 74, of Linton, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at 3:15 PM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Carmel. Carol was born in Sullivan on May 6, 1949, the daughter of Leo and Betty (Lester) Bishop.
Carol was a 1967 graduate of L & M High School. She married Jimmie E. Hubbell on December 4, 1970. She worked for many years as a loan processor at Citizens National Bank and later Regions Bank in Linton. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, working in the yard, baking and reading.
She was a member of the Linton First United Methodist Church and served as Treasurer of the Loves and Fishes ministry.
Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Hubbell; her mother, Betty Bishop; a son, Jeff Hubbell of Mooresville; a daughter, Julie (Andy) Clark of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Luke and Kylee Clark; four sisters, Linda Ray of Linton, Rita (Melvin) Bruner of Bloomfield, Rhonda (Victor) Taylor of Bedford, and Martha (Ted) Wagner of Lyons; and a brother, Paul (Terri) Bishop of Dugger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Bishop.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2023, with Nyle Riegle officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 PM, and Monday from 10 AM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Linton First United Methodist Church or Loves and Fishes, through the funeral home.
