Carla Hovey

Carla S. (Utterback) Hovey, age 72, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 8:35 A.M. on April 5, 2020.  She was born on July 25, 1947, in Linton, the daughter of James Edgar & Alta Lois (Adams) Utterback.

She attended Linton High School. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Linton Post #22. She was a bar manager for the American Legion for many years. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Harry Hovey of Linton, her children, Ric (Casey) Niebrugge of Bonita Springs, FL, Frankie Sue (Randy) Sanders of Dexter, MI, Rob (Dana) Niebrugge and Tony Niebrugge of Linton; step-daughter, Crystal (Chris) Daves of Farmersburg; a sister, Theresa L. Bogard of Lake City; grandchildren, Beau (Lauren) Niebrugge, Chasey Niebrugge, Randi Brooke (Steve) Farris, Tate (Alyssa) Sanders, Kylee (Michael) White, Zane Niebrugge, Alyssa (Ace) Danko, Dalton Will; great grandchildren, Gavin, Stevie, Charleigh and Reed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Charlet Hamm, and a brother, James "Jim" Utterback.

Due to the precautions being taken for the health and safety of the community, private visitation and funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. The service will be webcast at 12:00 NOON Thursday, April 9, 2020. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
