Carla K. Holmes, age 70, of Jasonville, passed away peacefully at 1:41 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Linton on October 15, 1951, the daughter of Bobby O. and Mary (Rose) Dunning.

She was a homemaker, and worked as an LPN and Dietary Manager at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Jasonville until her illness.

Carla was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed church, singing, playing piano, animals, flowers, and cooking.

She was a member of the Jasonville Church of God and the Dietary Managers Association.

Carla is survived by her two sons, Herbert L. Piker and Bobby D. (Stacy) Piker, both of Linton; her three daughters, Mary K. (Randy) Kirby of Linton, Brenda J. (David) Reed of Linton, and Becky (Michael) Jackson of Sullivan; a step-daughter, Ricky Amanda Holmes of Midland; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Cathy Jo (Ron) Parker of Linton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Herbert Piker, Gene Mackey, and Rickie Holmes; and two brothers, Bobby Dean Dunning and Steven V. Dunning.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with Brother Tommy Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 P.M., and from 10 A.M. until the time of service Tuesday.
