Bob Townsley, 92, passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home on August 27, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1928 to Floyd & Tonie Townsley in Bucktown, IN.

He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

He was married to Betty Moody Townsley on September 3, 1950. They had 3 children: Terry Keck, (husband Larry Keck) Fulton, MO, Jim Townsley (wife Janet Pope) Southington, CT, Luke Townsley (wife Hannah Bragg) Joplin, MO.  They have 13 grandchildren: Jason Keck (wife Sandra) College Station TX, Jennifer Wilson (husband Mike) Fulton MO, Amy Paris (husband Matt) Columbia, MO, Lisa Wagner (husband Ron) Illinois, Meagan, Benjamin, Andrew, Breanne, Jubal Townsley, Joplin MO.
They have 30 great grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Grace, Jonathon, Josiah, Sarah Ann, Jedidah, Lucy, Suzana, Faith Keck, Remington, Madaline, Caroline Wilson, Collin, Kate, Donovan, Farris, Abigail, Isiah Wagner, James, Esther, Jonathon, Joy, Mary Townsley, Anna, Olivia, Issaic, Emma Schwankee, Timothy, Joshua, Ethan, Karen Johnson.

            Graveside services will be held at 10:30AM Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Mt Moriah Cemetery with Pastor Jim Townsley, and Pastor Jerry Ross officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
