Billy W. "Bill" Bays
Billy W. Bays, age 77, of Worthington, passed away at 4:00 pm on Monday, November 30, 2020, at I U Health in Bloomington. He was born in Worthington, IN on January 5, 1943, the son of Loren & Sarah (Hamilton) Bays.
He retired from Citizens Gas Company after being there for several years and after that he owned The Crabby Apple Shop in Worthington. He was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church and he was President of the White River Valley Antique Association and Worthington Town Council. He served on the Praise and Worship team at church for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Susan Bays of Worthington; sons, David (Babette) Bays of Worthington, Scott (Tammy) Bays of Linton and Ron (Toni) Bays of Worthington; step-children, Jordan (Tory) Pearman of Cincinnati, OH, Chad (Beth) Cantrell of Columbus, OH and Kelly (Calvin) Tyson of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Trisha (Jamin) Duhne, Scott Bays II, Ronnie Bays, Shena Edmondson, Michael Edmondson, Troy Turpin, Jeremiah Turpin, Zach Cantrell, Kinsey Cantrell, Van Coates, Asia Coates, Gram Pearman, Marina Pearman, Dakota Parsons, Ryan Parsons, Bridgette Bowersock, Taylor Hacker and Trey Lloyd; several great grandchildren; brother, Ron (Yolanda) Bays of Beech Grove; sister, Becky (Bill) Daymude of Linton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, William Bays; brother, Gary Bays as well as two wives, Patricia Bartholomew Bays and Carol Crane Bays.
Private graveside service will be held at Worthington Cemetery by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington.
Memorial contributions may be made to White River Valley Antique Association through the funeral home.
