Bill J. Haun
Bill J. Haun, of Linton, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 3, 1936, in Vermillion County, Indiana, the son of Heber Haun and Bertha (Gregory) Haun.
Bill met and married the love of his life; Loretta “Jo” (Louden) Haun on October 18, 1955. Bill worked as an accountant at Minnie Haha Mine at Amax Coal Company and took care of the accounting. In his earlier years, Bill enjoyed helping manage and coach little league baseball. In his later years, Bill could be found outside working on his yard or helping his neighbors. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church and loved volunteering with anything needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Bob Haun.
Survivors include his wife; Jo Haun of Linton Indiana, daughter; Honie Chambers of Indianapolis, son; Shane (Robin) Haun of Arizona, grandchildren; Nathan (Kelly) Weber, Niccole Haun, Jessica (Skylar) Anderson, Rachel Haun, Seth (Stormie) Chambers, great-grandchildren; Eian, Zoie, Braelynne, Torin, Reid, and Grey.
Funeral services will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor David Tyra officiating. Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Bill to the First Baptist Church or Doctors Without Borders, or an organization of your choice.
