Betty Lou Cadwell
/Betty Lou Cadwell, age 99, of Indianapolis, formerly of Linton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis. She was born in Linton, IN on August 26, 1926, the daughter of Bonnie Boness Davison.
She was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School during the WWII time and after graduation she married Don Bemis and became a loving mother who took pride in being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing the saxophone and listening to big band music especially watching Lawrence Welk on television. She later married Bobbie Cadwell and had two more sons and she then dedicated her life to taking care of her son Ronnie who had Downs Syndrome while also taking care of the rest of the family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cared deeply for others and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Betty is survived by her sons, Don (Carol) Bemis of Bloomington and Robert "Bob" (Odetta) Cadwell of New Palestine; grandchildren, Jacob (Kasey) Cadwell, Jessica (Zachery) McFarland and Christopher (Karen) Bemis as well as three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; husbands, Don Bemis and Bobbie Cadwell as well as her son, Ronald "Ronnie" Cadwell.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Saturday, October 18, 2025 with Jeff Fulk officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
