Betty Bennett
/Betty Bennett, age 97, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 3:35 am on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Autumn Trace Assisted Living. She was born in Switz City, IN on December 3, 1924, the daughter of Zach & Grace (Helderman) Loveall.
Throughout Betty”s busy life, she has been a professional seamstress, upholsterer, quilter and monogrammed. She always loved music and taught herself to play the guitar and organ, and she enjoyed singing with Sweet Adelines and Songs with a Thousand Voices at Purdue University.
Betty was an active member of Linton Civilian and held several offices until the past few years. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church and volunteered at Glenburn Home in Linton.
She is survived by five loving children, Robert (Beth) Bennett of Linton, Willa (Paul) Barksdale of Terre Haute, Brenda Ellis of Terre Haute, Patricia (Richard) Kulp of Terre Haute and Kim Conley of Linton; eight grandchildren, Rob (Lelitia) Bennett, Jenny (Jody) Todd, Angela (Steve) Kivett, Debra (Mark Fredericks) Penna-Fredericks, Rhonda (Mike) Booe, Kristy Keller, Jeremy (Jennifer) Keller and John Conley; several great and great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Bennett; grandson, Damon Conley; sons-in-law, Gary Ellis and Robert Conley; brother, Robert Loveall and sisters, Esta McDonald, Anna Keller and Wilma Bruner.
Private services will be observed by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton
