Bettie L. Lemons, 82, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born June 22, 1936 in Orange County, Indiana the daughter of Howard Franklin Noblitt and Audrey Esther (Cleveland) Noblitt.

Bettie work for Dr. Joe for thirteen years, she was the National President from 96-97 and executive secretary for Delta Theta Tau Sorority for eighteen years, she was a member of the Solsberry Christian Church Delta Theta Tau and DAR of Orange County.

Surviving relatives include her children, Richard A. (Debra) Lemons of Bloomfield, Tracy A. Hayes and Candice M. Lemons both of Bloomington, eight grandchildren, Sarah E. (Phillip) Putman, Richard A. Lemons II (Miranda Matejka), Mickey G. (Jacki) Hayes II, Tom A. (Kayla) Hayes, Adam (Amanda) Hayes, Honi D. Hayes, Joshua A. (Tina) Leeper and Amy N. (Ben) Eaton, she has thirteen great grandchildren and one sister Ruthann Sumpter of Marion.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband Wayne L. Lemons on September 18, 2016; a daughter, Stacia S. Leeper, a son-in-law Mick Hayes and her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and 9 A.M. Friday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Jim Weimer officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Orleans, Indiana.

The family wishes any donations be made to the Solsberry Christian Church in Bettie’s name.
