Bedonna Janet Scott
Bedonna Janet Scott, age 87, of Linton, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Linton on June 5, 1930, the daughter of Ferd and Iva (Stockrahm) Bolton.
Bedonna was a 1948 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and attended Indiana State University.
She worked along side of her father at the Bolton Orchard, a 300 acre farm with 100 acres of apple trees. She owned and operated the orchard after her father's passing, until 1974 when her mother passed.
She enjoyed painting, sewing and teaching sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eastern Star, a Daughter of the American Revolution, all of Linton.
She is survived by her son, John (Missy) Scott of Carlisle, daughters, Kathy (Joseph) Edwards of Linton and Rebecca (Cliff) Freeman of Silver Springs, MD, seven grandchildren, Whitni Shake, Ashli Scott, Marsha Billingsly, Jaclyn Secrest, Andy Freeman, David Freeman, and Hannah Pacious, ten great-grandchildren, Kyden, Kooper, Summer, Marcus Aaron, Mitchell Adam, Samantha, Seamus, Lily, Bailey, and Ash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Vicky Ann Worth, a sister, Ruth Waymier, and a brother, Dr. James Bledsoe.
Memorial service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, with Reverend Kenneth Adams officiating.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
