Barbara Lou Page

Barbara Lou Page, age 92, of Linton/Terre Haute passed away peacefully at 3:53 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Signature Healthcare. She was born in Spencer, IN on August 24, 1929, the daughter of Roxie E. Hedrick and Edna (Franklin) Hedrick.

Barbara was a graduate of Switz City High School.  After graduating school, she married the love of her life; Wilbur Page in March of 1948. She attended Beauty School in Terre Haute in the early 1950’s. She began working in her shop called “Barb’s Harem” and worked their over 15 years.

Barbara was described as “The Biggest I.U. Fan!”. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Church of Christ in Switz City.

Barbara enjoyed I.U. basketball, bowling, flea markets, and loved all dogs.

She is survived by her son; Robert Lee Page of Lake Jackson, Texas, grandchildren; Robert Dean Hangren, Natalia Trevino, Allen W. Page, great-grandchildren; Gabrielle, Tatina, C.J., Cami, Christian, sister; Betty Torr, and several nieces, nephew, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Wilbur, sisters; Rita, Dorris, and Daphine.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Chris Gehring officiating.

Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M., until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 2:00 P.M.
