Barbara Jean Bradfield

Barbara Jean Bradfield, 91, of Lyons, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born August 24, 1931 in Evansville, to Jesse Frields and Margaret (Nation) Mason.

Barbara worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Ridge and was a member of the Lyons Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the American Legion Post 479 Auxiliary.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Gary Bradfield of Lyons; one daughter, Sylvia Yvonne Oakley of Linton; her grandson, Michael Lee Oakley (Danielle) of Sandborn; and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob and MaKenna.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Keith Oakley, grandson, Jeremy Oakley, her siblings, Sonny Frields and Jesse Edward Frields and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons, with Rev. Tracy Carpenter officiating.

Public visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 479 Auxiliary.
