Avanell Kuhlenschmidt, 75, of Lyons, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Born February 13, 1947 in Linton, she was the daughter of Josephine (Freeman) Hanks.

Avanell worked for RCA, but most of her working life was spent assisting her husband, Dr. Larry Kuhlenschmidt at his Dental Office in Lyons.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Michael Kuhlenschmidt of Lyons; a sister-in-law, Sharry Holmes (Robert) of Odon and a niece, Charla Gilbert (Shawn) of Lyons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Larry Kuhlenschmidt on December 13, 2011, her mother and an infant brother.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Rural Lyons, with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. There will be no public visitation.

The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
