Athanasia “Ann” P. Paikos
/Athanasia “Ann” P. Paikos, age 92, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully at 6:58 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, on November 27, 1928, the daughter of Peter & Eugina (Smyrnis) Bakas.
Ann was a graduate of Indianpolis Arsenal Tech High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at A & L Chevrolet in Bloomfield, Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Office, and and retired from NSWC Crane.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Indianapolis. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by her four daughters, Sophie (P.D.) Haywood of Bloomfield, Gina Paikos Fisher of Jensen Beach, FL, Susan (Kevin) Kramer of Linton, and Tricia (Craig) Herndon of Linton, eleven grandchildren, Alex (Jessica) Weathers, Drew Haywood, Guy Nicholas Fisher, Kolin Kramer, Valerie (Mark Boone) Kramer, Kylie (Jared Fishero) Kramer, Evan (Taylor) Herndon, Kyle (Kim Gomez) Herndon, Seth (Taylor) Herndon, Craig Fisher, and Brianne Bechet, two great-grandchildren, Parker Douglas Herndon and Ada Rose Herndon, and her sister, Iona Halladay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lazaros “Larry” N. Paikos in 2016, grandson, Kenneth Ross Weathers, and a son-in-law, Guy Fisher.
Private family funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Friday, March 26, 2021, with Father Gregory Hohnholt officiating, and father Bryce Buffenbarger assisting. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson’s Association or the Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, through the funeral home.
