Arvine Wayne Shuffitt

Arvine Wayne Shuffitt, 85, of Bloomington, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Stonecroft Health Campus.

Born August 25, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Easton Frank Shuffitt and Ellen Lee (Hurt) Shuffitt.

Wayne was a truck driver and a farmer, he was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge # 1081, AMVETS, American Legion Post # 18 all of Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include his wife Pat Shuffitt, three daughters, Floria Hepburn, Lisa Neal, Robin Grogan, two step-sons, William Edward Furr, Paul Wayne Furr, one step-daughter, Rachel Abrell, several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren; he is also survived by one brother and two sisters.

Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife Dixie Lee Shuffitt, a great-grandson, Joseph Neal, three brothers, two sisters and his parents.

The family ask that any memorial donation in Wayne’s name be given to Riley Children’s Hospital or Make a Wish Foundation in his name.

No visitation or services are planned. Burial will be at a later date.
