Arthur Richard Woodward Jr.

Arthur Richard Woodward, Jr; 80, of Owensburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 28, 2021 at IU Health Bedford Hospital in Bedford, Indiana. Born January 12, 1941 in Mattituck, New York the son of Arthur R. and Lydia Marie (Regula) Woodward.

Arthur was a pastor and missionary for many years to the Navajo Indians in Arizona and also to the people of Alaska. Some of his hobbies include hunting, ping pong and reading. His activities in later years revolved around woodworking and gardening. He retired to southern Indiana with his wife Edith. They were members and actively involved at StoneRidge Baptist Church in Bloomington.

Surviving relatives include his four sons, Tim Woodward and his wife Laura of Bedford, IN; Brian Woodward and his wife Kammy of Indianapolis, IN; Ethan Woodward and his wife Megan of Auburn, Washington; Scott Woodward and his wife Luciene of Kent, Washington, fifteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Mary Ellen Spurlin of Elnora, In; and one brother Tom Woodward of Richmond, Virginia.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Edith Lillian (Larsen) Woodward on September 26, 2018 and his parents.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 P.M. on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the StoneRidge Baptist Church in Bloomington.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the StoneRidge Baptist Church (104 N. Curry Pike, Bloomington, Indiana 47404) with Pastor Andrew Gashke officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.

The family asks that any memorial donations be made to the StoneRidge Baptist Church in Arthur’s name at; 104 N. Curry Pike, Bloomington, Indiana 47404.
