Adah Brown

Adah L. Kirk Ogle Brown, age 88, of Linton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born in Sullivan, IN on August 16, 1931, the daughter of William & Ellen Mae (McGuire) Brooks.  

She attended Shelburn High School. She attended Lincoln Christian Church in Worthington.  She attended the Marshall First Christian Church where she enjoyed singing with the Singing Sam's and GMC (God's Maturing Children) while living in Marshall, IL. She loved spending time with her beloved family.  She was a homemaker and worked for Citizen's Gas.

Adah is survived by her loving children, Shelia (Lloyd) Milam of Granite City, IL, Gordon (Judy) Kirk of Bloomington, Bill Kirk of Jasonville, Donna (Gary) Burnett of Linton, Errol Kirk of Worthington, Ellen Kirk of Hudsonville, and Deborah Dicus of Lakeland, FL; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Kirk, Robert E. Ogle and Jack Brown; parents; a son, Jeff Kirk; a daughter-in-law, Pam Kirk, brother, John Brooks; and sisters, Doris Loy, Frances VanSant, Vera Fudurich, and Grace Irwin.

Adah will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

In respect of the Indiana Governor's Mandate, Private Funeral service will be webcast and held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 12 noon Friday, May 1, 2020,  with Cliff Gano officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Worthington.

Private family visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Christian Church or Riley Hospital, through the funeral home.
