During the month of May, the Lyons Police Department responded to 91 total incidents within the Town of Lyons and surrounding area.

Enforcement Activity

The Town Marshal took enforcement action in the following cases:

1 arrest on a Greene County misdemeanor warrant

1 criminal trespass case submitted to the court for the issuance of a summons

Traffic Safety & Patrol Efforts

The Town Marshal conducted 54 traffic stops throughout May:

31 warnings issued

23 citations issued

Of the 23 citations issued, 20 were for speeding in excess of 40mph in a 25mph zone on East Broad Street, continuing a trend of excessive speed violations in that area.

Traffic enforcement remains a priority, particularly along East Broad Street and other areas where speeding complaints and safety concerns have been reported.
