New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, May 6, 2026:

May 4, 3:05 p.m., Cory Brent Lee, 34, French Lick, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft with a prior unrelated conviction for theft or conversion. His bond was set at $4,000. 

May 5, 8:49 p.m., Jacob Brian Soliday, 33, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery. His bond was set at $500 surety with 10% cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
