New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, April 22, 2026:

April 23, 12:27 p.m., Melinda Ann Brewer, 41, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to return to lawful detention. No bond was allowed. 

April 23, 5:06 p.m., Bruce Burton Sherfield, 63, Freedom, was arrested on a preliminary charge of intimidation. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

April 23, 11:41 p.m., Lynden Dean Boger, 34, Lyons, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
