New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025:

Sept. 2, 11:45 a.m., Jeffrey Junior Hammonds, 51, Mooresville, was arrested on a warrant for habitual lifetime traffic violator, operating a vehicle while intoxicated as a lifetime habitual traffic violator, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. No bond was allowed. 

Sept. 2, 1:10 p.m., Shanda Cheyane Merriman, 32, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended with a prior conviction within 10 years. No bond was allowed. 

Sept. 2, 3:14 p.m., Cody Paul Jackson, 37, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for intimidation and resisting law enforcement causing bodily harm. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $500.
