New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, July 17, 2025:

July 16, 11:10 a.m., Andrew Wayne Scott, 37, Coalmont, was arrested on a warrant for theft when the value of property is at least $750 and less than $50,000. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was also arrested on warrants for five counts of nonsupport of dependent/child violations. On those charges, no bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
