New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025:

Oct. 15, 1:27 a.m., Melvin Eugene Halfacre, Jr., 54, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary and theft. His bond was set at $11,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

Oct. 15, 1:32 a.m., Thomas Lee Sullivan, 59, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary and theft. His bond was set at $11,000 surety with 10% cash allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
