New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025:

Jan. 17, 3:10 p.m., Joseph Ray Grider, 38, Avon, was arrested on a warrant for refusal to identify self while stopped for infraction and identity fraud. For those charges, his bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was also arrested on a warrant for identity, counterfeiting and application fraud, and refusal to identity self while stopped for infraction/ordinance. One those charges, his bond was set at $8,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $1,350. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Zach Mead was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 17, 7:41 p.m., Robert Jared Foster, 37, Martinsville, was arrested on a warrant for strangulation and domestic battery. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $500. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Michael Stanley was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 18, 4:13 a.m., Carrie Ann McPeak, 49, Akron, was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, operating a vehicle while intoxicated—endangerment, operating with controlled substance in body, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and reckless driving. On those charges, her bond was set at $8,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was also arrested on a warrant for battery against a public safety official engaged in official duty and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. On those charges, no bond was allowed. 

Jan. 18, 3:31 p.m., Joshua Michael Cochran, 38, Vincennes, was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle while intoxicated—endangerment, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of .15 or more. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $500. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 18, 5:54 p.m., Wendell Dale Stewart, 34, Sandborn, was arrested on a warrant for residential entry. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 18, 7:46 p.m., Dustin Ray Carter, Jr., 25, Terre Haute, was arrested on a warrant for possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $500. Bloomfield Police Department Officer Jordan Brant was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 19, 8:59 a.m., Christina Kaye Kristler, 33, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for disorderly conduct. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer JR Blazier was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 19, 2:43 p.m., Henry A. Oporta, 29, Indianapolis, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. His bond was set at $500 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $50. Indiana State Police Trooper Richard Klun was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 20, 6:48 a.m., Alverton Stark Lerch, 59, Solsberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana/hashish/hash oil/salvia with a prior conviction, and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed. 

Jan. 20, 11:26 a.m., Anthony James Michael, 36, Solsberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Devan Goad was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 20, 5:27 p.m., Johnathan Alan Goleman, 28, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $100. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 20, 9:24 p.m., Teresa Marie Wininger, 43, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 1o years. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was released after posting $500. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Weeks was the arresting officer.
