New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024:

Aug. 29, 11:47 a.m., Jill Marie Dyer, 41, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Alan Jackson was the arresting officer. 

Aug. 30, 7:04 a.m., Andrew Wayne Scott, 36, Shelburn, was arrested on a warrant for three charges of nonsupport of a dependent child and three charges of direct contempt of court. For the nonsupport of a dependent child charges, his bond was set at a combined total of $20,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. For the contempt of court charges, his bond was set at $1,500 cash only. Greene County Courthouse Officer Patrick Fulford was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
