New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024:

Aug. 26, 9:39 a.m., Kelly Ray Whiting, 45, Logansport, was arrested on a warrant for strangulation and battery on a person less than 14 years old. His bond was set at $8,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Major Terry Wade was the arresting officer. 

Aug. 26, 11:15 a.m., Regonel Lane Petoskey, II, 55, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for theft when the value of property is at least $750 but less than $50,000, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, and habitual traffic violator. No bond amount was listed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Special Deputy Ted Holley was the arresting officer. 

Aug. 26, 7:24 p.m., Mary Ann Russell, 60, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for theft when the value of property is at least $750 but less than $50,000. His bond was set at $4,000 with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer.
