New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, July 9, 2024:

July 8, 4:05 p.m., Geoffrey Randell Sapp, 36, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for direct contempt of court. His bond was set at $500 cash only. He was released the same day after posting $500. Greene County Courthouse Security Officer Pat Fulford was the arresting officer. 

July 8, 9:56 p.m., Stephen Andrew Miller, 33, Worthington, was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Weeks was the arresting officer. 

July 8, 9:57 p.m., James Wilson David Chesser, 27, Worthington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of burglary. His bond was set at $10,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Weeks was the arresting officer. 

July 8, 10:49 p.m., Aaron Joseph Smith, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime. His bond was set at $3,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer.
