New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024:

Feb. 5, 7:58 PM, Jeremy Scott Ferree, 46, Unionville, was arrested on a warrant for perjury. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $400. 

Feb. 5, 9:21 PM, Carrie Sue Crandell, 32, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for neglect of a dependent and juvenile/family compulsory school attendance law violation. Her bond was set at $9,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
