New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024:

Feb. 13, 4:33 PM, Lian Chin, 46, Indianapolis, was arrested on two preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released later the same day after posting $400. 

Feb. 13, 5:42 PM, Daniel Lee Puett, 46, was arrested on a warrant for neglect of a dependent and juvenile/family compulsory school attendance law violation. His bond was set at $4,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Bloomfield Police Department Officer Jordan Brant was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
