New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024: 

Jan.31, 1:46 PM, Lisa Jean Archer, 39, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic needle or syringe, and failure to appear. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Officer Davis Aerne was the arresting officer. 

Jan. 31, 7:00 PM, Rebecca Lynn Baker, 26, Springville, was arrested on a warrant for maintaining a common nuisance. No bond was allowed.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
