New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024:

Dec. 4, 7:24 p.m., David Spencer Johnson, 32, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years and possession of a Schedule II, III, or IV controlled substance. No bond was allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer. 

Dec. 4, 8:07 p.m., Jeffrey Michael Arthur, 31, Worthington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. His bond was set at $500. He was released after posting $50. Worthington Town Marshal Jacob Gambill was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
