New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023:

Sept. 20, 2:20 PM, Jennifer Marie Wilson, 51, Columbus, was arrested on a warrant for theft with a prior unrelated conviction for theft or conversion. No bond was allowed. 

Sept. 20, 7:37 PM, Latasha Jo Ball, 35, Linton, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
