New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023:

Aug. 18, 10:14 AM, David Spencer Johnson, 31, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of refusal to aid an officer, driving while suspended with a prior conviction of driving while suspended, and interfering with public safety. His bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $500. 

Aug. 18, 6:17 PM, Jason Ross Nichols, 47, Solsberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of lifetime habitual traffic offender, possession of a controlled substance, and interfering with public safety. His bond was set at $11,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer. 

Aug. 19, 3:29 AM, Racheal Elaine Smith, 35, Switz City, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years of age, possession of paraphernalia, operating with a controlled substance in the body, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her bond was set at $8,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer. 

Aug. 19, 8:04 PM, Lowell Emmons Harroll, Jr., 57, Switz City, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving with suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% allowed. He was released after posting $100. Linton Police Department Officer Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer.
