New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, July 28, 2023:

July 27, 1:04 PM, Linda Renell Sherrill, 45, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery. Her bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Devan Goad was the arresting officer.

July 28, 1:10 AM, Eric Allen Shake, 55, Westphalia, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule II, III, or IV substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed. Linton Police Officer Bobby Pierce was the arresting officer.
