New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, July 19, 2023:

July 18, 1:11 PM, Amanda Brooke Weber, 33, Hymera, was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft. Her bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was released after posting $400.

July 18, 1:31 PM, Jason Martin Luman, 49, Mitchell, was arrested on preliminary charges of sexual misconduct with a minor and vicarious sexual gratification. His bond was set at $20,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $2,000.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
