New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, March 8, 2023:

March 7, 2023, 3:36 PM, Cory Joe Spinnie, 45, Jasonville, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for a conviction of dealing in methamphetamine as a Class A felony. He was being held without bond.

March 7, 2023, 5:47 PM, Michael Dale Hoover, 21, Clay City, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on new charges of felony theft and misdemeanor domestic battery and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $6000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He posted $600 and was released later the same day. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Coy was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
