New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023:

Oct. 11, 3:12 PM, Shanina Michelle Sims, 23, Fort Wayne, was arrested on a warrant for reckless driving. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was released after posting $500. 

Oct. 11, 4:25 PM, Anthony Dakota Moreno, 30, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
