New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, September 27, 2022:

September 26, 2022, 6:46 PM, Deborah Anne Frederick, 59, Linton, Indiana, was arrested on a new preliminary charge of misdemeanor theft-shoplifting. Her bond was set at $1000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She posted $100 and was released later the same day. Linton Police Officer Cayden Walker was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
