New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, September 2, 2022:

September 1, 2022, 10:55 AM, Jessica Larae Nelson, 32, Edwardsport, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued in a case involving felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, and misdemeanor driving while suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years and possession of marijuana. She was being held without bond. Indiana Conservation Officer Mike Gregg was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
