New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday, August 16, 2022:

August 15, 2022, 10:25 PM, Melissa Diane Puett, 51, Solsberry, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of felony domestic battery and confinement. Her bond was set at $8000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Sergeant Jordan Allor was the arresting officer.

August 16, 2022, 12:30 AM, Lena Christine Woodall, 40, Lyons, Indiana, was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for a conviction of misdemeanor violation of the compulsory school attendance law. She was being held without bond.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
