New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, December 22, 2022:

December 21, 2022, 8:24 PM, Jeffrey Shane Gibson, 50, Bloomfield, Indiana, was arrested on new preliminary charges of misdemeanor domestic battery and interference in the reporting of a crime. His bond was set at $3000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Caleb Sipes was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
